Summary
DBI (Doing Business in Israel) programme Day 8, 22nd Dec.2019 was Sunday, and it was the first working day of the week. Danny Dankner CEO & Co-founder, ACE lectured on the ACE case analysis in the morning, then we visited the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. In the afternoon, Omer Pomerantz lectured on Systematic Creativity and Ideation – Interactive workshop. Lastly it was program wrap-up and ceremony.
ACE case analysis
Danny Dankner CEO & Co-founder, ACE lectured on the ACE case analysis in the morning, the case was about ACE’s global competitive environment, core resources, capabilities and competences, Recommendations for ACE’s growths, and ACE’s Main Risk and Threat.
The recommendation was to develop new product, tap into new market, like ice hockey and football (soccer), explore new business model, find a partner to distribute the product, the partner may have a professional expertise and good commercial reach to the market. Etc.
Peres Center for Peace and Innovation
We also visited the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, it was like a museum that showcase Israeli high-tech innovation, Start-Up companies, product, and the successful story, people drove the innovation.
The Peres Center is also about Shimon Peres, we visited his office where he used to work, Peres is regarded as one of the founders of Israel’s technology sector. He has initiated and established many schemes, plans to make Israel into a Innovation, Start-Up nation.

Systematic Creativity and Ideation – Interactive workshop
In the afternoon, Omer Pomerantz lectured on Systematic Creativity and Ideation – Interactive workshop. His lecture was all about communication, creative thinking, leadership, etc. It was taught by teaching and also role playing activities. He talked how to start a small talk, the way to throw the ball back and forth, how our brain works when new situation happened, run away from "don’t know", evaluation, re-plan, brain is locked, difficult to unlock, go to the "don’t know" to trigger the unlimited creativity, get help from the crowd (break the illusion of alone) etc..
Omer Pomerantz also talked about the procedure of brain storming, mistakes, learn stop, go to "don’t know" status, funnel to the workable ideas, and do it.
Overall, Omer Pomerantz ‘s presentation was impressive, he didn’t use any slides.
DBI Program wrap-up and ceremony
Lastly we had a wrap-up at the end, everybody received a certificate of finishing the DBI programme.
