During my stay in India from 30th Nov. to 14th Dec.2018, I took Uber for local travel most of the times, as my Uber App payment linked to my credit card, the bill was paid in INR, and then pay back credit card by SGD in the credit card statement, although the exchange rate was not good, but it was quite convenient to use Uber in India, better than call normal taxi.
I took long distance Uber from Pune to Mumbai, totally 150 KM, 3.5 hours. The cost was quite reasonable, 1600 INR, paid in cash. Additionally you need to pay the high way toll and state road toll, totally around 265 INR.
